2nd Annual Juried Art Show
Retreat's Domestic Violence Services

The Retreat's 2nd Annual Juried Art Show is accepting submissions until March 12, 2010.

This show, benefiting the Retreat's Domestic Violence Services, is open to all artists with work in Photography, Painting , 2D, 3D, and Sculpture (no video art).

The work cannot be larger than 24" x 36".

Entry fee is $50 per entry, limit 3 entries. Make checks payable to The Retreat, or pay online at www.hamptonsjuriedartshow.com. All works entered must be original creations by the artist and must be show ready by April 19, 2010 if picked to be in the group show.

Accepted works cannot be substituted and are committed for the duration of the show. Regardless of selection status everyone will be emailed the last week in March.

DIGITAL IMAGES must be in JPEG format and min. of 72 dpi (to be judged online).
Images must be titled in this format: 1. Title, Last Name, First Name

Special Opportunity Stipends
New York Foundation for the Arts

Special Opportunity Stipends (SOS) for visual, literary, media, and performing artists are available, with February and May deadlines. Artists may request support ranging from $50 to $500 for specific, forthcoming opportunities.

SOS is a project developed by the New York Foundation for the Arts to assist individual artists in their work or career development. It is made possible with public funds from the NYSCA, as well as contributions from private foundations and friends of NYFA.

SOS is administered on Long Island in Nassau and Suffolk Counties bt the East End Arts Council under a consortium agreement with the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts, the Huntington Arts Council, the Islip Arts Council, the Smithtown Township Arts Council, the Council for the Arts on the North Shore, the Long Beach Arts Council, and the Long Island Council for the Arts at Freeport.
